Basketball Recap: Monsignor Pace Finds Playoff Glory Versus Westland Hialeah

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Monsignor Pace had no problem doing just that on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 73-50 margin over the Westland Hialeah Wildcats. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Spartans also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.

Easton Gelin was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 37 points and ten rebounds. The match was his third in a row with at least ten points. Jamaal Gibson, Jr was another key player, going 5 of 8 on his way to 13 points along with seven assists and seven boards.

Monsignor Pace smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Monsignor Pace's record now sits at 6-20. As for Westland Hialeah, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-13.

Monsignor Pace will challenge Carol City on Wednesday. One thing working in Monsignor Pace's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. Westland Hialeah does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
