Alcoa came tearing into Saturday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.1 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They beat the Lebanon Pioneers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 7-2.

Grayson Burgess was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Dylan Jablonski, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Alcoa hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in 11 consecutive matches.

Alcoa pushed their record up to 28-6-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Lebanon, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3.

Alcoa didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Hardin Valley Academy on the 26th. Lebanon has also already played their next contest (against Powell), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
