Softball Recap: Philo Takes a Loss

Philo came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Beaver Local Beavers, falling 10-3.

Dilyn Brown made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Philo has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season. As for Beaver Local, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-3.

Philo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Beaver Local, they are taking a road trip to square off against Cardinal Mooney at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Beavers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
