Basketball Recap: Carmel Comes Up Short

Carmel was the 42-35 winner over Lawrence North when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Carmel Greyhounds lost 62-37 to the Lawrence North Wildcats on Thursday. The Greyhounds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Brennan Miller, who shot 5-for-6 from deep and dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds for Lawrence North. The dominant performance gave Miller a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kai McGrew, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards.

Carmel's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Lawrence North, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4.

Carmel will welcome Hamilton Southeastern at 7:30 p.m. on February 14th. As for Lawrence North, they will head out on the road to square off against Ben Davis at 7:30 p.m. on February 14th. Ben Davis is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.6 points per game this season.
