Northland moved up to 285 from 375 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Columbus City - North. The Vikings climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Taft 36-30.
Linden-McKinley lost to South 48-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Whetstone's dynamic duo of RAMROTH FINNEGAN and TRENT HARPER proved to be unstoppable against Whitehall-Yearling, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. FINNEGAN threw for 191 yards and HARPER had 119 yards receiving. CHRISTOPHER NORTH helped Whetstone's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 21 yards.
The Braves' dynamic duo of FINNEGAN and HARPER proved tough for the Rams to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
HARPER was the best wideout in the league this week as Whetstone fell to Whitehall-Yearling.
FINNEGAN put up the best numbers through the air as Don Poff's team fell to Jake Kuhner's team.
Bruce Foster was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 37 yards on 5 carries as Brookhaven fell to the Rams. Teammate David Peoples added to the ground attack by rushing for 36 yards.
Whetstone's FINNEGAN and HARPER have formed a dream team this season, leading Columbus City - North in both passing and receiving yards. 6-3 quarterback FINNEGAN has thrown for 741 yards this season, while HARPER has 8 catches for 209 yards. East's Aarron Donaldson leads the league in rushing yards with 181.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will face off with its top pass rusher when the Braves and Beechcroft face off next week.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Northland takes on the Bearcats. As it stands, Kevin Tooson's team is in first, while Brookhaven is in seventh.
The Vikings made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,833 from 6,426. The improvement was the result of 36-30 victory over the Senators last week.
