Basketball Recap: Savannah Comes Up Short

Savannah lost against East Buchanan last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Savannah Savages received a blow as they fell 58-44 to the East Buchanan Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Savages can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 396th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 118th).

Savannah dropped their record down to 3-9 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for East Buchanan, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.

Savannah is taking a road trip to challenge Cameron at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Savannah is facing Cameron at the right time seeing as Cameron is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for East Buchanan, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-47 win against Maryville on the 21st.
