Softball Recap: Delran Triumphs

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Delran ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They skirted past the Cinnaminson Pirates 11-10. This was a revenge game for the Bears: when they faced off against the Pirates on April 14th, they had to take a 7-3 loss.

Arianna Martinez was a standout: she went 5-for-6 with four RBI and one run. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ellie Haskell, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Delran always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matches.

Delran's record is now 11-6. As for Cinnaminson, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Delran will host Audubon at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cinnaminson, they will be playing at home against Florence Township Memorial at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
