Senatobia had won three straight games and Deavion Watson did his part to make it four on Friday. The Warriors narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Calhoun City Wildcats 17-14 with plenty of help from Watson, who rushed for 286 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last three games he's played.
Defeat or not, Calhoun City got some senior leadership from Harland Pittman and Shane Farmer. Pittman threw for 162 yards and one TD on only 15 passes, while Farmer picked up 101 receiving yards and one score. Those 101 receiving yards set a new season-high mark for Farmer.
Senatobia's record now sits at 4-0. As for Calhoun City, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
Senatobia wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 22-0 win against Olive Branch on the 26th. As for Calhoun City, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 44-0 victory against Shaw on the 26th.
