Volleyball Game Preview: San Fernando Tigers vs. Sylmar Spartans

San Fernando is 0-8 against Sylmar since May of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Tigers will be playing at home against the Spartans at 4:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a proper cat-fight when San Fernando took on Kennedy on Wednesday. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Cougars. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While San Fernando had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-20, 25-21.

Sylmar had taken Van Nuys down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Spartans fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 3-2.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Sylmar sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 20-25, 25-20, 20-25, 15-11.

Sylmar's loss dropped their record down to 16-10. As for San Fernando, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
