Volleyball Recap: Little River Academy Takes a Loss

Little River Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chaparral Bobcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bumblebees of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2022.

Little River Academy took Chaparral into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking 13-point loss. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-13, 25-17, 23-25, 15-2.

Little River Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Chaparral, they pushed their record up to 3-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Little River Academy and Taylor will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chaparral, they will head out to face off against Copperas Cove at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
