Basketball Recap: Malden Takes a Loss

Malden was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 56-42 bruising from the Somerville Highlanders. If the Golden Tornados were looking for revenge after losing 62-34 to the Highlanders when the teams met back in February, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Malden's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Somerville, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Malden will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Chelsea at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Somerville and Framingham will compete for holiday cheer at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.
