Football Recap: Dana Hills Starts Season with Win Against Desert Oasis + How To Watch

Dana Hills took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They managed a 10-6 victory over the Desert Oasis Diamondbacks. The win was all the more spectacular given the Dolphins' disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 232nd in California, while the Diamondbacks are ranked 27th in Nevada).

Radley Geiss was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 212 yards while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Those 212 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was James Leicester, who picked up 102 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Desert Oasis' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Dana Hills will challenge El Modena at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Desert Oasis, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sierra Vista at 6:00 p.m. on September 5.
