Georgetown not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 11, 2024. They put the hurt on the Lucy Beckham Bengals with a sharp 13-4 victory. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bengals, too.
Kylah Jordan made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits. Jordan was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, Harper Moore was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-5. Another player making a difference was Rylee Holcombe, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Georgetown kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lucy Beckham only managed ten hits.
The win made it two in a row for Georgetown and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Lucy Beckham, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
Coming up, Georgetown will face off against Dillon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lucy Beckham, they will challenge Philip Simmons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lucy Beckham has given up an average of 6.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
