Baseball Recap: Rockford Auburn Comes Up Short

Rockford Auburn couldn't beat Harlem on Wednesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fifth inning. The Knights came up short against the Huskies, falling 19-7. The Knights have struggled against the Huskies recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Walter Povalitis and Logan Nalley did some serious damage despite the final result: Povalitis went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI, while Nalley went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

Rockford Auburn's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Harlem, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-12 record this season.

Rockford Auburn will look to defend their home field on Friday against Hononegah at 4:30 p.m. As for Harlem, they are taking a road trip to challenge Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies are facing the J-Hawks at the right time seeing as the J-Hawks are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
