Softball Recap: Randolph Extends Winning Streak to 35

Randolph strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Hayfield Vikings an 11-0 shutout. The Rockets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

Randolph's victory was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Hayfield, they moved to 5-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Randolph will head out to face off against Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.17 runs per game on average), something the Rockets will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Hayfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Triton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
