Volleyball Recap: Shay Almodova's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Paradise Adventist Academy over San Gabriel Academy

Paradise Adventist Academy lost against San Gabriel Academy back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cougars fell 3-1 to the Eagles. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Shay Almodova, who had six aces. Kate Nembhard also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Paradise Adventist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 17-10. As for San Gabriel Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4-2 record this season.

Paradise Adventist Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Upper Columbia Academy on the 11th. As for San Gabriel Academy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Columbia Adventist Academy on the 11th.
