Basketball Game Preview: Tina-Avalon Dragons vs. Meadville Eagles

Tina-Avalon is 1-9 against Meadville since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Tina-Avalon Dragons will venture away from home to square off against the Meadville Eagles at 6:00 p.m.

Tina-Avalon is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Meadville on Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Tina-Avalon lost 60-35 to Meadville. The Dragons were down 48-23 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Tina-Avalon better focus on containing Kinlee Fletcher and Lexi Kiel as the pair were huge in Meadville's win. Fletcher dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards, while Kiel went 9 of 14 on her way to 22 points in addition to six steals and five assists. Kiel is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Tessa Link, who posted ten points and seven rebounds.

Tina-Avalon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Meadville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-7.
