Softball Recap: Westview Chargers vs. Dresden Lions
Westview had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on the Dresden Lions with a sharp 11-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won three in a row.
McCall Sims made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Sims was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-5.
In other batting news, Sarah Byars was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Lakyn Rogers, who scored a run while going 3-for-5.
