Soccer Recap: Martin Picks Up Third Straight Win at Home

Martin barely beat Roma the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Martin Tigers' defense stepped up to hand the Roma Gladiators a 4-0 shutout on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

Martin's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those three matchups. As for Roma, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Coincidentally, Martin and Roma will both be playing Palmview the next time they take the pitch. Roma will host Palmview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Martin will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on March 14th.
