Recap: Tuscarora Titans vs. Urbana Hawks
Even though the Tuscarora Titans have not done well against the Urbana Hawks recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Tuscarora snuck past Urbana with a 45-41 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Tuscarora.
Tuscarora got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Skylar Davis out in front who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and eight blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Davis has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Laney Barton, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals.
Tuscarora pushed their record up to 5-8 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Urbana, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.
Tuscarora on the road again on Wednesday and play against Manchester Valley at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th. As for Urbana, they will take on Centennial at TBD on Monday.
