Basketball Recap: Clinton Christian Academy Skates Past Outreach Christian with Ease

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Clinton Christian Academy's strategy against Outreach Christian on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Clinton Christian Academy Patriots blew the Outreach Christian Bulldogs out of the water with a 62-15 final score. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-7.

Clinton Christian Academy found their leader in freshman Parker Lowe, who went 7 for 10 en route to 19 points and seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lowe has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Curnutte, who posted eight points along with five assists and five steals.

Clinton Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Outreach Christian only posted four assists.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Trae Gharst, who scored six points in addition to six boards and five blocks. Gharst is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted four or more in the last three games he's played. Davon Gibbs was another key player, putting up four points along with 14 rebounds and three steals.

Clinton Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Outreach Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.

Clinton Christian Academy is taking a road trip to square off against Plaza Heights Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Plaza Heights Christian Academy will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Clinton Christian Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Outreach Christian, they will venture away from home to face off against Show-Me Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Outreach Christian is facing Show-Me Christian at the right time seeing as Show-Me Christian is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
