Soccer Recap: Wawasee Comes Up Short

Wawasee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against the Northridge Raiders, falling 12-1. While losing is never fun, Wawasee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 261st, while Northridge are ranked 50th).

Wawasee's goal came courtesy of Josiah Jones, who's now up to three this season.

Wawasee's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Northridge, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-5-1.

Wawasee didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 9-0 defeat against Plymouth on the 2nd. As for Northridge, they have also already played their next contest, a 1-0 loss against Warsaw on the 2nd.
