Baseball Recap: Bentonville Comes Up Short

Bentonville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 9-3 to the Fayetteville Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-1 last Monday.

Bentonville's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Fayetteville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Bentonville will take on rival Rogers Heritage at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Fayetteville is set to face off against their familiar foe Har-Ber at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs are on a nine-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), the Wildcats a four-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
