Basketball Recap: Ariel Stout's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Madison Plains over Greeneview

Madison Plains was the 44-39 winner over Greeneview when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Madison Plains Golden Eagles fell 46-34 to the Greeneview Rams on Monday. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Golden Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ariel Stout, who posted seven points. What's more, Stout also racked up two assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sadie Mason, who had five points and seven boards.

Madison Plains' loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Greeneview, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-12 record this season.

Madison Plains does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Greeneview, they will take on Northwestern in a tournament on Saturday.
