Preview: Dillon Wildcats vs. Lee Central Stallions
The Dillon Wildcats are on the road again on Wednesday and play against the Lee Central Stallions on December 27th. Hopefully Dillon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Thursday.
Dillon fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Lake View but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 68-60 to the Wild Gators. Dillon has not had much luck with Lake View recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Dillon had strong showings from Treasure Davis, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds, and Khwnylahi Mckinnon, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Davis scored a full 41.7% of Dillon's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Campbell, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Lee Central put another one in the bag last Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They snuck past Darlington with a 51-45 win.
Dillon's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Lee Central, they pushed their record up to 8-0 with that win, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.
