Basketball Recap: West County Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Wins at Home

West County entered their contest against Jefferson on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The West County Bulldogs took a 63-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jefferson Blue Jays. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Jays apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

West County's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-5. As for Jefferson, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West County will square off against Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Jefferson, they will welcome St. Vincent at 7:00 p.m. on January 21st. Jefferson has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 186 points over their last three matchups.
