Basketball Recap: Menaul Takes a Loss

After flying high against Monte Del Sol Charter last Tuesday, Menaul came back down to earth. The Menaul Panthers were just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 51-50 to the Legacy Academy Silverbacks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Silverbacks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-55 on February 4th.

Legacy Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daniel Tavarez, who went 6-for-14 to rack up 12 points. Bryant Scales was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards.

Menaul dropped their record down to 12-14 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Legacy Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Menaul nor Legacy Academy have any future games scheduled.
