While Mt. St. Michael Academy's win against Salesian wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mountaineers had just enough and edged out the Eagles 7-6 on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Mountaineers in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

Yanthony Diaz was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Michael Gaynor also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Mt. St. Michael Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Salesian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.

Coming up, Mt. St. Michael Academy will venture away from home to square off against Regis on Saturday. Salesian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
