Football Game Recap: Southwestern vs. Chautauqua Lake/Westfield

Southwestern were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They blew past Chautauqua Lake/Westfield 42-18.

It took a quarter to shake off the cobwebs, but after zero first-quarter points, the Southwestern offense picked up 21 points in the second quarter. Chautauqua Lake/Westfield countered with 12 points, leaving the score at 21-12 going into the half. Southwestern put the match away in the third quarter with 14 points from the offense and zero points allowed from the defense.

Next week Southwestern take on Falconer/Cassadaga Valley at 7:00 PM. After those two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune. Chautauqua Lake/Westfield will be playing at home against Silver Creek/Forestville Central at at 7:00 PM. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
