Softball Recap: Reedy Drops Season-High Score on Creekview

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Reedy). They blew past the Creekview Mustangs 20-7 on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Natalie Deen was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI. Megan Lau was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances.

Deen wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Reedy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Reedy's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-9. As for Creekview, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Reedy Lions take on The Colony Cougars at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Creekview, they will host Lone Star at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Lone Star is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.
