Basketball Game Preview: Jay Royals vs. Central Jaguars

Jay and Central are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2021, but not for long. The Jay Royals will be playing at home against the Central Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Jay is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Milton just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 41-38.

Meanwhile, Central was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 69-64 to West Florida Baptist Academy. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (56), the Jaguars still had to take the loss.

Jay's loss dropped their record down to 16-3. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-9.

Jay took their win against Central in their previous matchup on January 9th by a conclusive 73-48. Will Jay repeat their success, or does Central have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
