Softball Recap: Minisink Valley Warriors vs. Warwick Wildcats

After flying high against Washingtonville last Monday, Minisink Valley came back down to earth. The Minisink Valley Warriors fell just short of the Warwick Wildcats by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest runs Minisink Valley has scored all season.

Emily Smith was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she pitched six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than six innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.

On Warwick's side, their win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Amanda Larsen, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.
