Lake Central had won three straight on the road, but  on Tuesday they bumped up to 10-6 to make it four. They were the clear victors by  a  3-0 margin over the La Porte Slicers. This was payback for the Indians, who suffered  a  3-2  defeat the last time these two teams met.
 Kailey Skurka paced Lake Central's offense, picking up 12 kills. Skurka got some help from  Isabella Steliga and her 16 assists. Skurka also made an impact serving:  she shared the team lead in aces with  Brooklyn Barth, racking up three apiece.
As for La Porte,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 10-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  loss they have suffered  since August 28th.
 When it comes to explaining why La Porte lost, don't look at  Shayla Sorg. Despite the final result, she  had 24  digs and five  assists. Sorg is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had 14 or more in each of the last four games she's  played.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lake Central is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Valparaiso  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, La Porte will  take on  rival Chesterton  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
