Soccer Game Preview: McLane vs. Madera

The McLane Highlanders will face off against the Madera Coyotes at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. McLane's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Tuesday, neither McLane nor Clovis West could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Madera fell victim to Clovis and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 7-0. The loss continues a trend for Madera in their meetings with Clovis: they've now lost four in a row.

Madera's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. With that draw, McLane's record moves to 1-1-2.

Everything went McLane's way against Madera when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as McLane made off with a 5-2 victory. Will the Highlanders repeat their success, or do the Coyotes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
