The Williston Red Devils will challenge the Trenton Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Williston is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They never let Bronson get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. The Red Devils haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Bronson's batters probably weren't too happy with Emily Asencion, who pitched a no hitter and racked up ten Ks (she gave up five walks).

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brooklyn Bertrand, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Grace McDaniel was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Trenton entered their tilt with Chiefland on Wednesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Indians 16-1. The Tigers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Olivia Weaver and Presley Akins did most of the damage at the plate: Weaver went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base, while Akins earned one RBI, two runs, and two stolen bases.
Williston's record now sits at 13-9. As for Trenton, their record is now 14-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Williston has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Trenton struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Williston couldn't quite finish off Trenton in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 and fell 3-1. Can the Red Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
