Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Keller Central

Keller Central had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Mansfield Timberview Wolves. That's more bragging rights for the Chargers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Keller Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Evah Avina led the charge by getting eight digs and five aces. Those five aces gave Avina a new career-high. Chelsea Nyanje was another key player, getting ten kills.

Keller Central's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Mansfield Timberview, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.

Looking ahead, Keller Central will head out to challenge Trinity at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chargers are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Mansfield Timberview, they will challenge Cedar Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
