Hebrew Academy has no trouble against Model Secondary School for the Deaf

Hebrew Academy won the last time they faced the Model Secondary School for the Deaf Eagles, and things went their way on Thursday too. Hebrew Academy took down Model Secondary School for the Deaf 71-52.

Model Secondary School for the Deaf's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luke Florio, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. Johan Hewapathirana was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.

Hebrew Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Model Secondary School for the Deaf, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hebrew Academy will face off against St. Anselm's Abbey at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Model Secondary School for the Deaf on the road again on Monday and play against Sandy Spring Friends at 4:30 p.m. on January 22nd. Sandy Spring Friends knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Model Secondary School for the Deaf likes a good challenge.
