Blacklick Valley won against North Star last Tuesday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Vikings came out on top in a nail-biter against the Harmony Area Owls, sneaking past 8-6. Winning may never get old, but the Vikings sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Greg Schilling was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rylan Garver, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Schilling wasn't the only one making solid contact: Blacklick Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Blacklick Valley's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Harmony Area, their record is now 1-5.

Looking ahead, Blacklick Valley will face off against Meyersdale at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Red Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Harmony Area has already played their next match (against Curwensville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
