Softball Recap: Windsor Takes a Loss

Windsor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 17-5 to the Springfield Cosmos. The Yellowjackets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cosmos apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Windsor saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cassie Clark, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Clark is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

Windsor's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Springfield, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windsor will head out to square off against Leland & Gray at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Springfield, they will challenge Long Trail at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
