Baseball Recap: Blue Ridge Has No Trouble Against Holbrook

Blue Ridge had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Holbrook on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Roadrunners. The Yellow Jackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by seven runs or more this season.

Graesyn Kendzlic was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Rooney, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Blue Ridge hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Holbrook struck out 11 times.

Blue Ridge's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Holbrook, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-13.
