Clay typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Northwest proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 6-3. The Mohawks haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Peyton Wolfe spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Northwest let Wesyn Lang and Chase Kingrey run wild. Lang went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Kingrey went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Levi Shepherd, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and one stolen base.

Northwest's record is now 10-3. As for Clay, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-4.

Looking ahead, Northwest will be playing in front of their home fans against South Gallia at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Clay, they will head out to square off against Glenwood at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.71 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
