St. Albans has gone 9-1 against Parkersburg recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Red Dragons will look to defend their home field against the Big Reds at 6:00 p.m. St. Albans is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

St. Albans' pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Nitro as they made off with an 8-0 victory. Considering the Red Dragons have won 11 matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Parkersburg, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against Marietta by a score of 6-1 on Thursday. The Big Reds haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Parker Woods was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Parkersburg's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 6-12 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Cancade, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Parkersburg was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Parkersburg's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-12. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for St. Albans, their victory bumped their record up to 18-7.
