Softball Game Preview: Kittitas Coyotes vs. River View Panthers

For the second straight game, Kittitas will face off against River View. The Coyotes will be playing at home against the Panthers at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.

Kittitas made up a huge gap compared to their last game against River View, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Coyotes fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 17-15 on Thursday. The Coyotes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For River View's part, they got a massive performance out of Lauren Overstreet, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Danika Koch, who went 3-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: River View kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March.

The victory was the sixth in a row for River View, bringing their record up to 15-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Kittitas, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-7.
