Volleyball Recap: Christian Brothers Comes Up Short

Christian Brothers came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the De Smet Jesuit Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in April.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-17, 25-13.

Among those leading the charge was Rory Luina, who had 12 digs and two assists. Owen Beatty also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.

Christian Brothers' loss dropped their record down to 9-16-1. As for De Smet Jesuit, the win was the 20th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 28-1.

As of now, neither Christian Brothers nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
