Football Recap: Fairhaven Skates Past Bishop Fenwick with Ease + How To Watch

It's playoff time, and Fairhaven had no trouble coming through when it counted. They really took it to the Bishop Fenwick Crusaders for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-20 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-7.

Kyle Soares was his usual excellent self, rushing for 201 yards and two TDs on only 13 carries, while also picking up 44 receiving yards and one score. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in September.

Soares was just one part of a punishing run game: Fairhaven was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 339 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 269 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

Fairhaven's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.1 points on average over those games. As for Bishop Fenwick, they moved to 6-5 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

The Spartans' defense has only allowed 13.9 points per game this season, so the Crusaders' offense will have their work cut out for them.
