Basketball Recap: Heritage Academy Takes a Loss

Heritage Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Phoenix Country Day Eagles, falling 64-5. While losing is never fun, the Heroes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 279th, while the Eagles are ranked 12th).

Valeria Castorena was Heritage Academy's leading scorer, having posted three points.

Heritage Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Phoenix Country Day, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-4.

Heritage Academy has already played their next contest, a 34-27 victory against San Tan Charter on the 8th. As for Phoenix Country Day, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 51-19 win against Scottsdale Preparatory Academy on the 8th.
