Basketball Game Preview: Kingsford Flivvers vs. Marquette Redmen

Kingsford is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Marquette is on a eight-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Kingsford Flivvers will host the Marquette Redmen at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Kingsford's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 12 contests.

Last Monday, Kingsford strolled past Menominee with points to spare, taking the game 61-42. The Flivvers haven't had any issues with the Maroons recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Marquette didn't have too much trouble with Forest Park on Tuesday as they won 83-67. Given the Redmen's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Trojans are ranked 60th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Marquette's win bumped their record up to 19-2. As for Kingsford, their victory bumped their record up to 17-3.
