Basketball Recap: Urbana Takes a Loss

Urbana was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against the Champaign Central Maroons, falling 43-17. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 68-31 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Alex Parastaran had a dynamite game for Champaign Central, going 5 of 7 on her way to 15 points and seven boards. Parastaran is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Samara McArthur, who posted 11 points.

Urbana's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Champaign Central, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Urbana will head out to face off against Monticello at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Champaign Central, they will take on Lincoln at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
