Paxton proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 15) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Chipley Tigers, sneaking past 9-7. That's more bragging rights for the Bobcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Avionnah Padgett made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Padgett was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emily Ward, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5. Alyssa Hall was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Paxton's record now sits at 2-0. As for Chipley, their record is now 3-3.

Paxton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-6 defeat against Freeport on the 6th. As for Chipley, they have also already played their next matchup, a 10-8 victory against Walton on the 6th.
