Basketball Recap: Tulia's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Tulia suffered their biggest defeat since November 22, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against the Dalhart Wolves, falling 65-43. The Hornets have struggled against the Wolves recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Tulia saw an underclassman step up: freshman Julius Johnson posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zaiden Jalomo, who scored 11 points and five steals.

Tulia's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-14. As for Dalhart, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-5.

Tulia didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 42-36 victory against River Road on the 28th. As for Dalhart, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 70-56 win against Childress on the 28th.
